Cantonment Board Public School (CBPS), Sonwar, Srinagar, observed Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment towards environmental conservation. The programme was organized in collaboration with the Forest Protection Force (FPF) and witnessed active participation from students, teachers, school administration, and distinguished guests.
The event commenced with an awareness session highlighting the importance of environmental protection, sustainable living, and the collective responsibility of preserving nature for future generations. Students were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute towards creating a cleaner and greener environment.
A tree plantation drive was conducted within the school premises, where saplings were planted by the Principal, staff members, representatives of the Forest Protection Force, and students. The activity symbolized the institution’s dedication to promoting environmental awareness and increasing green cover in the community.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasized the significance of conserving natural resources, reducing pollution, and nurturing environmental stewardship among young learners.
